We offer continuous support to The Veterans Resource Center.

MRD Foundation’s Veterans For Veterans Outreach was founded by Commander Warren Gilbert in 2012. MRD is a non-profit (501 c 3 tax exempt) organization whose mission is to promote physical and mental health & wellness for our community’s military veterans and their families. Our veterans’ outreach is a model for Governor Sandoval’s “Nevada’s Green Zone Initiative:

“A local effort, seeking to align and mobilize all available resources in the areas of employment, education, and wellness to best serve and support Nevada’s veterans and their families. It is a statewide strategic planning initiative and architecture designed to improve services, increase collaboration, and reduce duplication among service providers; to provide on ramps for policy solutions at the most local level; and to provide mechanisms to feed those solutions up to local and state bodies, including the Nevada State Legislature.”

Where We're Located

We are located at the VFW Post 9211- a bunker on the national register of historic sites-where we are launching an official Nevada USO. The northern Nevada USO will host activities such as seasonal events, barbecues, concerts, lectures & presentations.

A Memorial Day Message From Cyrus Dylan

As I head into Memorial Day, I honor not only the fallen, but the many sacrifices of all who served. As you know, many struggle daily with mental health issues. Since my father’s recovery, my focus has turned to helping others. I’ve put together a toolkit to help veterans dealing with mental health challenges.
